The Dead Girls have spent about a sixth of our lives recording and preparing “Out of Earshot” for release. So, there’s gotta be some stuff to blog about, right? You bet your ass–we should have been doing it gradually this whole time, actually. But, hindsight works wonders, as we usually learn.

A 3-piece style “Hair Trigger” live @ RecordBar 10/2/09

JoJo decided he needed to flee to Spain to visit his beloved (see the track “Te Quiero”), but having one (or even two members) missing has never stopped The Dead Girls before. On this night of the second of October, on the occasion of the Present Magazine Anniversary Bash at RecordBar, no exceptions were made. This is us rocking “Hair Trigger” in true stripped-down fashion. Fun stuff!

As most of you hopefully know, we’ll be throwing a CD release in Kansas City this Friday (well, tomorrow, actually) May 15th at the Brick. Tim Finn at the Kansas City Star did a sweet little write-up about it–check it out HERE.

DEAD GIRLS RISE AGAIN WITH NEW EP

One of our area’s ultimate pop bands is throwing a Kansas City release party for its latest project.

On Friday night, the Dead Girls (who used to be Dead Girls Ruin Everything) will officially present “Te Quiero,” the second six-track EP the band has released this year. The other: “Hair Trigger,” came out in February.
